Shared Library Errors -

Getting error message:
The application "Word" could not be launched because of a shared library error: "-<Microsoft Word><CarbonLib><CFMPriv_System><>"

Getting similar message when I tried opening other microsoft, photoshop, palm desktop, and AOL applications. (Since the only application that now opens is Final Draft, perhaps this is sign that my focus needs remain in on screenplays?)

I'd prefer a practical explanation.

Read some posts. Tried downloading and reinstalling my current update version: 10.4.11 It said my system doesn't meet the requirements to update (even though it currently exists as this & I have enough disc memory available.)

What's the next option(s)?

Well, there's this :You receive a "Shared library" error message when you start Office for Mac programs

I found it over at the Microsoft Help & Support website and the bottom line seems to be an "Archive & Install", if a Permissions Repair doesn't help.

The article is a little dated and only applies to:
