Sharing Leopard to XP -- read only problems

Hi all,

I'm trying to network a couple of external harddrives connected to my Mac Mini (running Mac OSX 10.5) with an XP laptop and am having problems.

I've turned on sharing through the Mac and given read/write permissions to all the listed users... and I have no issues finding the drives on the XP. The problem is all the files are Read Only -- and I can't seem to get around that.

Now, I don't log in when accessing the drives, which I assume is the problem... but I can't figure out how to log in. I've tried disconnecting the mapped network drives then re-mapping them and using a login, but it errors, saying the drives are already connected with that name.

I'm at a loss for what to do now... if anyone has any ideas, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Did you read this forums HowTos? The you will find How to make your Mac OS X recognize, read, and write to NTFS volumes and [HOWTO] have a possible Win Share access.
