I desperatelly need to input a 'hash' sign into some text. For some reason it won't let me do it with the 'Character Pallet'. Does anyone know how to do it with a shortcut? I have looked around but can't find anything!

Please help!

What do you mean by "Hash Sign," Frank? In common usage, that's
the non-US term for what we call a Pound Sign (#): Shift-3.

I suspect you mean something else.

Yes I me (#) hash or number sign.

When I put 'shift-3' I get £ (pound sign)

There isn't a # symbol on my mac keyboard (am writing this on a PC)

I was told there was a shortcut as the only way I can find to imput this symbol is with 'Character Pallet'

Thanks,

Frank
