show info "comments" wont stick

my comments in my hard drive window keep dissapearing... is this a bug?

anyone else notice this?

I have two hard drives, one has X, one has 9.2.2.

the comments in the drive window on the X drive wont stay. ???

I think comments are kept in the resource fork. Custom icons are on the resource fork, too. I've found if I change my custom icon for my hard-drive, I have to log out and back in before it takes effect.
Any ideas, people?

what your saying makes sense... but, how come it works on the os 9 drive, and NOT the X one? I'll try what you said and see if it helps..

thats what is confusing the heck out of me.
