Site slowdown?

Is it just me, or because of the upgrades or whatever this site seems a hair slower. In particular, I notice significant slowdown when I post then it refreshes so I can see my post, that refresh sequences seems to take twice as long now.

Also tell me if I'm wrong but If I put the cursor before a word where I want to turn it bold or green or whatever, I click the B and the [.BOLD] appears at the bottom of my paragraph instead of where I put the cursor, forcing me to have to copy and paste it in the paragraph where I want it. Is this just the way it always is, or can I change this somehow?

you can just write in the [bold], etc. Also I *think* that if you s...elected text will be surrounded by bold tags.

doesn't work, but it does get rid of my favorites bar{in safari}
