Skipping in iTunes

Since I've switched over to OS 10.2, iTunes has been skipping and the only way to correct it (for a while) is by restarting. I am using a 700MHZ iBook w/ Harmon Kardon Soundsticks. Does anyone else have this problem? It is really annoying and I would appreciate it if someone could give me advice to fix it.

What version of iTunes are you using? The latest version is 3.0.1 and is available at Apple's web site for download.

;)

Yes I have tried unplugging the soundsticks but like restarting, it is only a temporary remedy. I am currently using 3.0.1, which is the most recent version.

if unplugging the sound sticks fixes it, even if it is temporary, it sounds like it may be a driver issue with the sound sticks... have you updated to 10.2.1?

Yes but to no avail. I am now also noticing it in other multimedia programs such as RealPlayer. I was told by an Apple tech support member that 10.2 would fix all OS X sound problems, as all audio support would be added. I had similar problems under 10.1.5, as did many other people with Soundsticks. I really don't know what else to do, other than buy Apple Pro Speakers.

Could someone please look at this application and please tell me where to get it. I still am having problems and I need a solution. Thanks in advance.
