Skype is the devil's creation?

Hi there!

Sorry for posting "voodoo information", but I think this might be helpful for others.

I've been having lots of problems with my Mac Mini (running OS X Tiger) acting "weird". It started with the (well known, it seems) issue of Spotlight being unable to find anything on the disk. Then the computer started freezing, both during boot (at the grey screen) and when going into screensaving mode.

Anywayz, recently I removed the installation of "Skype" from my computer, and I haven't experienced any of the above mentioned problems since.

The coincidence is striking, since I don't install and remove programs very often.

Isn't Skype just a regular app (runs only when you tell it to)? That is a koinkydink though.

I have Skype on all my computers (Macs and PCs), no issues.

Are you running the latest version? Do a search for any of Skype's .plis files and dump them in the trash. Don't forget to empty it too.
