Sleep to prevent crashes

I figured out that it often helps to put the Mac to sleep when it seems like Mac OS X crashed. After waking up tha Mac again, usually everything continues to work fine again.

Mac OS X has never crashed on me, and I don't think it's planning too as well.

i got it to crash the other day...

first classic crashed, then the finder crashed and there was no way to force quit anything... so i restarted.

That's when I turn to my other machine and SSH into this one to issues the kill command on whatever is causing grief... but I guess everyone does not have multiple machines and remote longin enbabled...

I bet if Apple works hard enough they can make the Force Quit funictionality work in more cases... even if it has to open up a funky text-only version on ocasion.
