Hi,
I have a 12" Powerbook G4 with 768MB RAM and 1.33GHz. I'm connected to the Internet via a Comcast cable modem, connected to a router, connected to an Apple Airport Express. My problem is that whenever I open a new web page in Safari, it takes anywhere from a few to 30 seconds to get past the "Contacting ..." stage of loading the website. Once the website starts appearing, it still seems quite slow. My roommate's Dell laptop, connected through my Airport wireless network, is much faster. I went to "bandwidthplace.com" to test the speed of both machines: my Powerbook gives 735Kb/s, the Dell does 2.8Mb/s. What gives?
Thanks,
Andrew
