slowdown on powerbook

i have a powerbook g4 with 867mhz and around 640mb of memory.my computer is WAY slower these days and i was wondering what maintenance i should do/use to get it up to optimal performance.any help is much appreciated.

Have you repaired the permissions? Also, a program called Onyx is very good and can run maintenance scripts for you.

How much space do you have left on the drive? If it's less than 1 GB or so, that might be it. DOwnload Onyx and have it clean the kernel cache files and any other maintenance options that are listed. I've used it and it's worked wonders.
