My linksys router finally gave up on me, so when I was at CompUSA last night I found and purchased a SMC Barricade g router with built in print server. Says that the router is Mac friendly,and installed easily on all the router functions-except- the printer server. They have no setup instructions for Mac OSX except to say that Macintosh OS supports plug and play installation of the printer server service. Sounds great...but I can't get my computer to now see my printer when connected to the router.
Setup is: G4 Quicksilver running OSX 10.3.2 Printer is a Samsung ML-1210 connected to the SMC Barricade Router through USB port. I have D/L the most current drivers off of the Samsung web site, and when the printer is connected to my computer directly it is recognised and works flawlessly. Can also be shared thru printer sharing with no problems.
Anyone have any hints or tips I should try to get this to work?
