SO-DIMM DDR 333 on Ibook G4

Hi,
I was planning on upgrading my ibook G4 to 512mb memory. On the manual it says that it supports the SO-DIMM DDR 266 (pc2100). I was wondering if it works like on a pc when u put one memory faster onto it and it still works but at the lower speed level?

Yes, it should work. But isn't PC2700 memory more expensive than PC2100 memory? Why wouldn't you want to buy the cheaper RAM?

Well not really. That is like a joke. the pc2100 cost like 70 but the pc2700 cost like 50.

I guess is the manufacturing process. More pc2700 are on production. Therefore, demand increase, supply increase, and price decrease.
