Software not opening!

Hi all,

I have a G5 imac running panther ... and for some reason half my programs wont open for some reason! The icon bounces in the dock and then stops and does nothing! Havn't changed anything or installed anything new. The programs include:


-Cyberduck
-Some DVD encoding software (cant remeber the name)

I have tried, re-installing them all, and updated to new versions. Also re-set several times.

Anyone got any ideas?

Have you looked at the Console for system messages while these apps try to boot? This should be located at /Applications/Utilities/Console.
 
If you open the Console and then try to start one of the apps that fails, you might see error or other messages get logged to the Console. If you do, you could post those messages to this thread and give us some more information.
