Software Update HELP!!

I was updating and my internet connection was lost in the middle of a download and now when I try to do a software update it says that no internet connection is found but im connected. Does anybody know how to fix this problem.

I have a Powerbook G3 Wallstreet 266mhz, 192 mb ram, 20GB Hard Drive, and im running os x 10.2.8

Have you tried deleting the .plist preferences for Software Update?

where is that? and i tryed rebooting several times, im fairly new at macs

Check in /Library/Preferences and ~/Library/Preferences.

do i just delete it ? what does it do?

If you go into those directories, you'll see something like com.apple.Softwareupdate.plist or something of that nature. Just delete those files and re-run software update (but make sure that you don't have software update running when you delete the files).

BTW, the ~ refers to your home directory, so "~/Library/Preferences" is actually "<your-home-folder>/Library/Preferences".
