Software Updater... unwanted items

Is there a way to remove unwanted items (language support, printer drivers) from the list in the software updater?
 
There's an option in one of the menus to 'deactivate item' or something. Can't remember where it is exactly, but it's mentioned on the Apple OSX troubleshooting page
 
seach this forum for for "software update" and "language" you'll most assuredly find your answer there... this topic has come up a couple times before.
 
All you have to do is highlight what you dont want and then go up to Update and go down to make inactive and it will ask if u want to do this and click yes and they will be inactive so next time you do software update they wont be there. Then if you need them you can go up to update and click show inactive and it will show you what you have made inactive and you can install if need be
