trying to limit what songs i put on my ipod / iphone / ipad

example -
how do i sync all Kelly Clarkson but not her one holiday album -

OR

how do I delete or save somewhere else on a HD the holiday songs that I'm tired of listening to right now?

You should be able to select manually what songs you want on each device. OR
Put your songs in different playlists, then select which playlist you want on each device.

Once you have the playlists created, which may take time depending on how many songs you have, it should be easy to update and switch them around.

how do I send export the holiday songs to another library that i only need 1 once a year?

and now that itunes won't let you open a playlist in another window, building a playlist has become more tedious
