Some System Preferences Changing

When I startup in the morning, sometimes the preferences
that I have set in the finder are changed or not loaded.
IClock doesn't load the time and Date as I set it up. Also
the view preferences are changed from Column to Icon.
It doesn't happen every time, but pretty often. Any Ideas as
to what might be wrong, or what I can do to try to fix it ?

I would really appreciate it

Well are you running any custom interface facelifts? Plus with some Finder errors a quick old OS X fix for the Finder is to navigate to the folder /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/ and find the file com.apple.finder.plist and move it to the Trash Can. Then immediately reboot your Mac and upon the start click on the desktop. Then On the desktop click on the menu item "Finder". Click on the work Finder and open Finder's Preferences. Set the Preferences to what you want.
