the thing is i've had my imac for 1 year after switching from windows and i love it. but one problem i have is that it won't connect to certain websites namely megaupload, ehow, about, and cracked. its not the internet's fault because the websites i wanan go on work on other computers in my house. before i was able to go on those sites then a few days later it wouldnt connect to those sites. when i use safari it saids "safari can't connect to the server" i even tried a differnt browser and it won't work. one thing that i did to solve this issue was to run bootcamp and i was able to go on those sites on my windows partition but not my mac. but i want it to work on my mac as well. i called mac support and the guy told me its either a corrupted cache problem( i emptied cache though) or some dns server problem. he was asking for 50 bucks to troubleshoot with me or he told me to ask on mac osx forums. can you guys please help me i'd greatly appreciate it and keep up the good work guys.

Try using the OpenDNS service putting their DNS in your router using these steps. They have an instructional video to show the benefit of the service. IMHO your browsing will be a little faster (they were for me) and a tad bit safer with you controlling your own DNS.

Plus make some links to sites you can't get to and we will see if any of us Mac user can get to them.
