What the hell does this mean?

Sep 24 18:56:54 jason2 mDNSResponder[238]: 8231: WARNING! Bogus client application has now registered 3 identical instances of service 526900068;526900068;1186883532;158878071._MacOSXDupSuppress._tcp.local.

wierd.. It just showed up twice on my comp. and I don't use ichat at all.

Sep 27 00:12:35 Apollo mDNSResponder[270]: 7963: WARNING! Bogus client application has now registered 2 identical instances of service Apollo._afpovertcp._tcp.local.

Both were exactly 30 seconds apart and a little after midnight. I'm pretty sure I wasn't using my computer at the time.

all I get in my logs are

Sep 25 23:53:31 xegan mDNSResponder[318]: mDNSResponder (09/13/02 14:15:48) starting

Anyone make anything of the two diffnt dates there?
Is 9/13/02 a build time for mDNSResponder?

I tried lauching iCal, iChat, and any other Rendevous aware apps,
but see no activity in my logs.

I would imagine that it's your own machine, but...
Are either of you guys on a network?

I am on a network and there is an ibook running 10.2 on my subnet... but I don't see how a request from another computer would spawn a copy of a service on my computer. If it wasn't running to begin with then it wouldn't see the request. If you see the request it's running. why would we need to create another instance?

I did just notice that my error has to do with Apple Talk over TCP. I do have appletalk running right now. I'm not sure what holmbrew's is from but it does still appear to be using TCP in some way, and having to do with rendevous
