Sony P800 syncstation on macosx

Hi, I have a sony P800 phone with a syncstation my macg5 does not have a bluetooth adapter installed. I have tried syncing the phone thru usb connection on the syncstation but it does not detect the phone. Is bluetooth the only option for P800 syncing with macosx?
 
yes i have just upgraded to 10.4.7 but it still does not detect my phone, it detects the usb syncstation but when I try to add my phone to the devices it does not detect it
 
To use a phone via USB I think it needs drivers for it ... whereas using it as a bluetooth device it doesn't.
 
that's the problem i don't have a built in bluetooth adapter in my G5 i also checked out ericsson's site and it looks like their syncstation only supports windows is there anyway around that?
