Sound Card Or Sounsticks II Problem

I recently had a party and some people were monkeying with my computer by hooking up their ipods unbeknownst to me.

Now whenever I use my soundsticks II I hear a crackling which usually gets worse and a constant rumbling from the sub.

i'm wondering if this is definitely a blown sub or might be a problem with my soundcard.
