Sound Studio vs. Amadeus?

Can anyone compare for me the latest versions of Sound Studio and Amadeus? Both seem similar. For me, it is pretty much strictly for transferring vinyl. As far as the interface, I seem to renate better to Sound Studio. But otherwise, comments are appreciated. I now have a bit of money that I can register one.

Thanks.

I prefer Amadeus, for a number of reasons.

1) I have had problems with Sound Studio corrupting large sound files after editing. This has allegedly been fixed in the latest release, but I'm not spending half an hour recording something to test it!

2) Amadeus can encode directly to MP3, and import MP3s for editing. I'm fairly certain that this isn't avalailable in Sound Studio at the moment.

3) The filters/effects in Amadeus are excellent. I've found the 'denoise' option invaluable for recording my vinyl. For power and ease of use, this is far better than Sound Studio IMO.

4) Amadeus is cheaper!!

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, Amadeus is a lot cheaper. The denoise does sound like something to think about. Any idea about the difference in recording quality between the two, besides the corrupted large files? :)

to be honest, I can't really comment on how that compares, as the corruption started to piss me off too much. But I've used Amadeus to MP3 loads of my vinyl and tapes, and to record mixes, and the quality is more than adequate
