Soundstick problem

OSX crashed for the first time last night (yuck code everywhere-definately preferred the little bomb icon ;-))

However the reason was basically my usb audio driver, which is what powers the sound to my sound stick, which are very buggy so far on OSX (ie sound just goes mute then have to go into sound control panel and change the output to the built in audio, then have to hear the backlog of sounds I've been missing since the soundsticks died - bizarre!)

Anyone else have this problem, and more importantly anyone know a fix?

Thx in advance

OSX10.1.3, G4 TiBook 667mhz, 512mb RAM, Sound Sticks, etc...

I am having this problem as well. Has even caused a kernal panic once. Usually what happens is that some program freezes up on me.. seems to be waiting to make a sound, but can not because the soundsticks have quit working. Going to the control panel and changing output does no good. I have to reboot. And, sometimes, I have to force a reboot because the OS or some program will not quit.

Anyone else?
