Splitting MP3s

I have a song that I want to take out the intro of but when I google it, it doesn't matter if i have the word mac in it or not, it still will come back with results for windows programs. Do you have any suggestions on the words I can use when I use google to find a program?

Do you have any suggestions for a program that can split mp3's? All I need to do is split only one mp3 so I don't want to buy a program.
 
SoundStudio is great, although a tad pricey. Quicktime Pro could be used as well, but that also costs. There's Audacity, which I despise, because everytime I sit in front of it, I just can't seem to get how it wants me to work, if it wants that at all. But it's free. So maybe some learning curve may be acceptable for some. (I really hate how I can select part of the track but not _do_ anything with it like copy or paste...)
 
WOW! usually I'm pretty good with figuring out programs but that is an exception. I finally gave up and grabbed a PC and did it on windows.
 
yes. but after selecting part of a track, why can't you copy/duplicate/cut/paste? or if you can: how?! :)
 
Amadeus (II or Pro) will do it rather more obviously than Audacity.
