Sporadic iTunes mutism (weird!)

Gone !
iTunes sometimes simply shuts up for a few seconds (5 sec. approx.) whileplaying a song(any song). This happens thrice an hour, approx. It continues reading the song, but no sound comes out. It then recovers normally.

Anyone with the same problem ? Maybe it's hardware... Is it because I'm still on iTunes 4.0 ?
 
Happens to me too. However, sometimes the sound will not come back on, and I must pause and unpause the song to get the sound back...
 
Anyone been able to track down any sort of a cause for this, or anything that could help track down a cause? I'm experiencing it to, and would be interested to know why.
