Hi there,
I have just joined here so hi to all.
I was looking up a similar question to mine but didnt like the re-formatt answer so thought would try my luc and ask anyway.
tiger 10.4
emac 1.4 G4, 512ram,
superdrive
I have a problem where only desktop is visable and the spotlight icon up in the top right.
have reintalled OS and for first restart it looks like it works then on 2nd or third startup it goes back to same thing.
have also repaired disk and permissions.
Was going to go back to panther because it never happened previous to tiger but seems like a backward step.
If i do get it running is there an update to stop it happening again.
any help appreciated as dont like having to used my old 800hz emac and that ones hard drive is too small to do a firewire backup of all of my files on the 1.4 eerrr
