spotlight not finding newly downloaded files

hey ppl,

i recently reindexed my spotlight as spotlight wasn't picking up alot of my audio and video files. now i realise that spotlight isn't brining up any files put it into my mac after the reindexing. does anyone have any idea y this is happening? i don't have to continuously reindex do i?

Spotlight has blind spots. Get the freebie EasyFind (versiontracker.com).
It doesn't look inside files, but it finds better. I keep mine in the dock.

thanks for the feedback.. but is there any way to rectify this problem cos i didn't use to have this prob wit spotlight
