Spotlight works but Apple-F finds nothing

Hi there,

I recently had to re-index my drive because Spotlight wasn't working.

Now, spotlight works, however, when I try to find files by doing an

Apple-F to search my Computer, I can't find files that I'm sure are there. It finds absolutely nothing.

What on earth is going on? Any recommendations?

Can you post a picture of the search window that appears when you press Apple-F. It is useful to check what options you are using on the search. Spotlight defaults to searching all available drives, while Cmd-F defaults to searching just the home directory, for instance.

And Cmd-F does use the spotlight engine to search, so it shouldn't give different results unless your settings are wrong.
