Spring loaded @ bottom right hand corner of dock???

Hi everyone.

Bottom right hand corner next to the bin is a @ graphic on a spring, nice looking but does it have a use. Does anyone knows what this does? I think it stores a webpage but don't know how to work it? Also in an attempt to figure it out I moved to the desktop and vanished into a puff phhhhaaa.

It was simply a Web link file that leads to a page on the Apple Web site. Kind of like an alias to a bookmark for your Web browser. When you drag something off the dock, you aren't actually "removing" it from you computer, just removing it from your dock. Burried somewhere in a deep dark corner of your system, that bookmark still exists - but you can get to it simply by going to Apple.com
