squid web proxy starting at startup

I have an old beige G3 which I am using for an Internet server with squid installed to act as a cache for the other macs in my house. I was wondering if anyone here knew how to make it start the squid daemon at startup?

Any help would be appreciated,

Take a look in /System/Library/StartupItems, and you'll see all the various things osx starts at boot. You can copy one of those, and just make the obvious changes to run squid.

To do it entirely correctly, you'll actually want to create /Library/StartupItems, and put your new item in there. (/System is reserved for standard stuff, /Library is your own personal stuff.)
