Stacks competitor?

There are also rumors carried by Mac Rumors and Ars Technica, amongst others, that 10.5.2 will see similar features added to Stacks.

Personally, I tried using folders in the Dock under earlier versions of OS X and decided I wasn't so keen. Having said that, I suppose it would be nice to have the option!
 
i thought it was pretty good, but you can't drag the folders you put in the dock out of the dock.
