starting xmms

hello, i have installed X11 en fink and fink commander. I have also downloaded and installed xmms. I am using 10.2.6 and an ibook. How do i start this programm? It is not in programms. I guess i have to use terminal or x11? Does someone how to start it?

Open up X11 and type in xmms &

Thanks for responding. I have not the X11 for apple. You need panther for that. I have the xfree86 thing called xdarwin. If i type in xmms & xdarwin stops. I will try to get an earlier version of x11. See if that works.

Make sure you have all the xmms binarys installed. You can also run xmms by just typing xmms in the X11 terminal or Xdarwin but I like using xmms & so I can run more commands from the same terminal.

I have used fink commander to instal xmms. It says i have installed everything. Except the xmms gdancer. i will install these now then. When i try to reinstall it says i have already the newest xmms. Thanks for you answer. I will keep trying.
