Startup Items

User Startup Items can be added or removed from the Users Panel in System Prefs. My question is, where is the configuration file(s) for this I cannot boot to the startup volume and want to manual delete User Startup Entries. The only thing I could find was in the System Preferences Startup Items, but I'm looking for user specific items.

Start in Safe Mode and you will disable all start up items and any Log in items:

Hold the shift key on reboot till you're rebooted.

Computer won't boot to safe mode, just hangs. I assume these settings have to be stored somewhere and can be manually deleted from a command line.
