Startup Problem: Invalid Key Length

Problem getting a Mac dual G4 running 10.4.8 to boot up properly . . .

What we see when the computer is booted up is the "spinning wheel of death."

Booting in safe mode and running fsck results in:
invalid key length, 4,900, vol check failed.

Looking for suggestions on how to fix this problem, which just started. Am wondering if DiskWarrior may be the answer? archive and install? repair by running the startup disk (which I need to track down)?

I wold try DiskWarrior before doing anything else.

I just ran DiskWarrior . . . get a message that says error can't be fixed.

Any other suggestion?

Time to reformat the drive, then run DiskWarrior and see if it's fixed.
