'Stitching' software?

Looking for a program that will 'stitch' multiple 8 1/2 x 11 pages into 1 page for commercial printing. Preferably in pdf format. (Genealogy Charts)

Anyone know of such?

Yes the latter: "...or are you talking about a large, seamless image, chopped up into 8.5 x 11 "puzzle pieces" that then needs to be assimilated back into one, large image?"

Mine, and another's PC program will generate terrific charts, but they will print on separate sheets that would have to be taped together. I'd like to have them print, commercially, on a single large page as one large chart. Make sense? My local Kinko's can print 5' x infinity on HD paper with only a pdf.

When you "print" from the application, instead of actually printing, select "Save as PDF..." from the "PDF" menu in the lower left-hand corner of the "Print" dialog.

This should cause the entire page, no matter how large, to be printed as a single sheet PDF (36" x 48", or whatever) that is sized exactly as the document is set up.

Edit: This assumes that the original document is printed from a Mac, and that the software used to create the diagrams runs on Mac OS X.

If you don't have access to the original program to do a "correct" PDF print of the document, and all you have access to is the 8.5" x 11" PDF documents, then this method won't work.

Nope! Created a chart with 4 pages (2x2). Tried Adobe Reader and Preview. Set page sizes to various widths & lengths, and the print 'preview' shows the same 4 separate 'corners', but--we're on a roll here--all on one page.

That being said, I had to use my Epson print settings. Kinko's printer MAY have the ability to correct that. Will have to go ask.
