Stop osx reporting information to Apple

Hi

I recently had an application crash on me, the crash reporter came up and I agreed to send the report to Apple. Then, another pop-up window (not the crash reporter) came up saying something along the lines of the following:

"Apple likes to know how you use your computer and they would be very happy if you wouldn't mind your computer occasionally sending reports to them about your useage. Do you agree?"

Because I wasn't reading it very carefully, I accidentally clicked "Ok". I don't want my computer sending any information anywhere without my knowledge, but I can't remember enough about this message to even begin to know where to go to stop my computer sending this data to Apple. If any one has any idea where I can switch this option off, I'd be very much obliged.

Thanks in advance.

Stop using iTunes "Genius" mixes. Stop using MobileMe. Stop using the iTunes Music Store. Stop Software Update from getting updates. Stop using your Mac.

Oh come on... this is serious! At least, I take this stuff seriously. I don't use iTunes genius mixes, I don't use the iTunes store, I don't use MobileMe, I'm cautious about software updates. I don't store browser history, I don't store passwords, pre-fill forms, I have a desktop that dynamically reports my open ports lists. This little box that I ticked is a chink in the armour, who knows what might happen in 10 years time when I'm wanted by Interpol? They could subpoena my computer useage data from Apple (traced by my IP address - not really anonymous) and find out all sorts of things about my level of paranoia.

Check out "Little Snitch". Not only can you block in/out traffic, you can block 'calling home' and also stop Apple from 'spying' on you. Any of the above temporarily or permanently.
