Strange blue globe in menu bar annoyance

Hi all,

Yesterday I noticed a strange blue globe had appeared in my menu bar (OS X 10.4.8), see attached picture. When I hover my mouse cursor over the globe, it changes shape slightly (like it's active) and the text pictured appears. The text is from a post I was reading on the web last week in the Flock web browser (I think it was Flock, but could have been Safari).

Anyone know how I can get rid of this? I didn't notice anything unsual in Activity Monitor's list of running processes. Clicking on the globe has no effect. Rebooting my computer also doesn't make it go away! Argh!

Are you using Tiger? Because I run 10.4.8 and to remove something from the menu all I do is command click on it and drag it and it disappears.

You're right, sorry. That does work for all Mac OS X utilties, doesn't seem to have any affect on some of the third party doclets though (e.g. SSH Keychain doclet).
