Strange happenings

Today I restarted my Mac and walked away from it. When I returned it was giving me error msgs. saying it was having difficulty deleting some picture files. Not knowing what to do, I reset to manual sync and restarted again.

The machine came up syncing photos from albums that have been on my webpage for months. When it was done syncing, all the folders for all my albums had been deleted leaving only empty albums and captions on my website.

Have you ever heard of this happening before?? It was really strange...and I couldn't get it to stop syncing! AAAAARRRRRGH!

Can anyone help?
 
What are you Syncing with? What software are you using to sync photos?
Also, what operating system are you running? As you've posted this in the Mac Classic System & Software forum I'd assume you're running something pre OSX.
