Strange log entry for USB

I just noticed that /var/log/system.log is full of entries like below, about 1 per second! How can I locate the culprit? Do I just unplug things until it stops?

Code:
Sep 10 08:59:33 server kernel[0]: USBF:	417865.776	AppleUSBHubPort: Port 2 of Hub at 0x3a000000 reported error 0xe00002ed while doing set feature (resetting port)

Use process of elimination: plug one device into the port, and see if the message continues. Then another... and another.

Do they all generate the message? Does one device in particular generate the message? Could it be a USB hub causing the message?

One other thing to consider is that sometimes when it refers to a "USB hub", it's actually referring to the USB ports built-in to your Mac (or any computer), especially if you're not using an external (or internal on PCs) USB hub at all. I'm not saying that your USB ports are going bad as it could possible be something that is connected to that USB port, but something to consider. Just make sure that you're going through the usual troubleshooting steps.

I found it. It was indeed a hub, but nothing was plugged into it. It's a combination USB hub and mug warmer. I was using it in its second office.

More evidence, as if more were needed, that one should not mix business with pleasure.
