Strange Spaces behavior

I've played with Spaces and would use it if not for what I think is a fluke on my machine. I have 4 Spaces' windows set up, shortcuts assigned, etc. The problem is whenever I'm in windows #2-4 of Spaces and the cursor is moved close to any edge of my display the Spaces' window zips off the screen, "Exit stage right..." and I'm back in window #1. I can't find any setting to eliminate this in Spaces or Keyboard/Mouse prefs. I'm running SteerMouse and MondoMouse, but can't find any conflicts there. This doesn't happen on my friend's MacBook and he can't come up with an explanation either. Any ideas?

I'm using a 17" MacBook Pro and Apple Bluetooth Mighty Mouse.
