In Panther when I drag a file to the trash, I get this message: The item "" will be deleted immediately.

I read somewhere that this can be caused by improper home folder ownership and returning to the proper settings would take care of it.
The Owner is me (techs01), however the Group is staff which is different from an office mate's, his Group (techs03) is the same as his Owner (techs03). I don't have a matching Group (techs01) to change to.
Also, when I get info on the trash, the Owner is "backup" rather than system as it should be. I can't change this either, I get an unexpected error (error code -213) when I try.
Any Ideas?
