Streaming music

hello,
I have my music on win2k and would like to play the same in iTunes on the mac. I have the folder shared so that I can open it up in mac but I cannot import files etc to iTunes. Any thoughts as to howI can stream music rather than make a copy of all the music files on the mac?

If you don't have any music on your Mac, try setting your Library location to your My Music folder (or whatever it is) on your PC over the network.
 
Look in the Preferences under the Advanced tab. You'll have to enter the full path to the My Music Folder on the PC or whatever folder the music is in.

Not sure if this works cross platform, but try it and let us know.
