streaming video vs. dialup

hi all..this is my first post so I hope I'm following proper etiquette...I just discovered Steve Jobs WWDC on Apple Events and so want to watch stream. I have tried every QT tweak I can think of and still my dialup does not allow me to watch (way too jerky and fragmented).
Does everyone with dialup have this problem and is viewing streaming webcasts just impossible for us? Anybody know how to help?

Dialup is never kind to streaming, when I was watching a similar event a few years back on the Apple site the same thing happened — one frame every few seconds.

Basically if you want to watch it properly, you'll need a faster connection.
