stupid appleworks question!

Somehow my sweet lil daughter has managed to fix the default for appleworks so a text page is in landscape as opposed to portrait format. I tried setting the prefs back to default but it didn't work and I can't find anything either in the various menus in the tool bar or in appleworks help to put it right. I've been using Word so far or the macbook to get around it but (for once) I have to email a doc to someone who has a mac but not word for mac.

Any ideas? It's version 6.2.4 btw and I'm on a G4 imac running 10.3.9

After you select the page layout in the Page Setup, click the Page Attributes drop down and save as default.
 
It could be your daughter has created a horizontal template page as the default startup page.

These reside in Applications > Appleworks > Starting Points > Templates.

Failing that, yes look at what your default is in Page Setup and chnage it back to the way you like it.
