Has anyone experienced a sudden and sharp decrease in audio level
(volume) from iTunes 6.0.5 (20)?
Up till a few days ago, iTunes was functioning fine. But I first noticed
this yesterday while playing some MP3s I'd just ripped from one of my
albums. At first, I thought it was either my ancient Pele speakers or a
speaker connection. After checking all connections and making sure they
weren't loose, I played some CDs and the same audio files I played
unsuccessfully in iTunes. I tried both Cog 0.05 and Audion 3.0.2. With
either app, the audio level was fine. But with iTunes, I have to increase
the volume to 100% with my keyboard and 100% with the sound setting in
my System Preferences. Even then, the sound is lower in volume then
played with either Cog or Audion.
I'd appreciate any ideas or suggestions that would correct this problem
with iTunes. TIA
