I just got my first mac and I'm really REALLY liking it. I've just got a few of the newbie questions... been a long time since I've had any of those on my PC.. :) Which web browsers are out there for the mac? I use Firefox on my PC, and have for a long time but I've heard that it's a resource hog. Are there any good alternate browsers out there for the mac? I've searched a little and am familiar with a few of them but I want to get the info from some users before I get download happy. Thanks guys and I'm sure I'll be a frequent user of this great resource for quite some time!

Firefox IMHP is great on a PC and a poor port on the Mac. I say a poor port because Firefox on a Mac can load slowly on a Mac and the more 'plugins' you get slow it down (and some of the really good plugins will not work right). So the makers of FireFox, the Mozilla project, made an OS X native browser (made with native OS X computer language) called Camino. Camino uses the SAME render engine the Firefox uses to render web pages. Camino even comes in several languages and the Development build of Camino even uses the built in spell check in OS X. So give it a try.

What's wrong with Safari?

I only use FireFox once in a blue moon when a page starts acting up and won't advance. I loved Shiira 2 when I had it, but unfortunately it seems developement is really lacking, and too many features just aren't implemented.
