Suggestion of new service that macosx.com could provide

A few days ago, my watch tells me it wants an update and this is the start of updating all of my Apple toys. But, is the update safe and stable?

A service that this website could provide is a notification that as many volunteer testers as this site can provide has installed all of the above updates for N days and the updates appear to be stable. The notification could simply be creating a thread in a particular forum which individuals could subscribe to.

Then, when I see my devices wanting to update, I can just wait until I get the update from macosx.com that the new updates have been installed N days ago and appear to be stable.

That is a good idea, but some of us don't have the latest new toys, example my Mac is at the max update possible and running smoothly.

There is TidBITS - that does exactly what you describe, along with other Apple news, app updates, etc. TidBITS.com

Ok. I'll check out TidBITS. By the way, there is a YouTube channel that is all about putting newer versions of macOS on older Macs. I can find the channel if anyone is interested.

Personally, I wait a couple of weeks before installing an update. By that time any needed fixes to the release will have been done.

To me somethings always come to my mind, any updates I always wait two-three weeks especially when something is new in it! I’ve grown older and don’t need on bleeding edge on any puce of hardware until others have tried and tested it before I buy it!

Now I just wish Scott he just buy the web domain for MacOS.com site sense Apple had to use OSX now for over the 3 years!

I don't mind waiting but I don't know of a definite place to look to see if people are having trouble with the updates.
