I am running Suitcase 9 in classic. After loading fonts, they dont show up in either Photoshop or Illustrator via X. If I download them to my user/library/fonts folder, they show. What gives? Also, in X, how can one sort screen fonts in suitcases. I get this stupid program that opens when I dbl clik on a suitcase.

In order to have fonts across Classic and Carbon/Cocoa applications, you'll need to upgrade to Suitcase 10.x. A Classic application can't provide services to 'real' OS X applications.

Well, in os9, dealing with postscript fonts you have a folder. In that folder are printer fonts for printer and a suitcase with screen fonts for the monitor. You can dbl clik on suitcase and see what screen fonts are in the suitcase. This way you can manage what is in there like eliminating duplicates, combining to create a multiple font suitcase, etc. In X, the suitcase shows as an icon. When dbl clicking, it opens some rogue program that does not pertain to anything related.
