Superdrive won't burn CDs

I replaced the CD rewriter in my G4 Quicksilver with a Pioneer CD/DVD rewriter. However, when I put a blank CD in it it says "The disc could not be used because the disc drive is not supported (Error code 0x80020025)". It reads CDs and DVDs fine, just won't burn anything. Any ideas?

Off hand, I would say that the disc drive is not supported. It might interest you to know that a DVD and CD are different. You have a DVD-capable drive as a replacement for a CD-only drive. However, you seem to have done nothing to account for the change.
