Switching Users without password

Can I somehow say "Hey! User 1 completely trusts User 2" so that I can log in as User 1 and User 2 and then switch between them without always having to type in the password?

I try and run as a normal (non-admin) user but frequently need to switch to the admin user when I install things (it seems to work better that way). Its a great improvement to be able to just switch back and forth but making it without the password would be super great!

Thanks,
pedz

just set their password to a blank or a space, and set a keyboard short cut e.g. apple - opt - 2? should work

admin accounts can run with a blank password? Maybe I am confusing it with the windows world, but I know one current operating system doesn't allows this.

NO STUPID STUPID STUPID. Never set your password to blank. I know you are saying i can never be hacked no one will find me. You don't know how easy it is.

if the switching user thing is just for having several desktops, you might want to check Desktop Manager. Otherwise I don't see any possibility.

If you own the system, use your account, the first one you set up. an admin account.
OR. use a different one, and when you want to do something, use the authenticate option and type the username/password for the other user. OSX will not allow a null password, and no operating system should.
